Enterprising, dedicated, and knowledgeable, Brandy J. Flynn is a luminary committed to empowering our communities to be resilient and transparent as it relates to mental health. Brandy's choice of work stems from her deeply rooted desire to build awareness about mental health and make it a topic everyone should care about. She has been in the counseling field for over two decades and has a growing private practice which includes conducting therapy, training for corporations, speaking engagements, and media correspondence.

Brandy has been featured on multiple media outlets speaking about mental and emotional health. She has been featured on all four local news stations and has been featured on national television shows such as TV One's Thou Shall Not, For My Ma, and Fatal Attraction as a mental health expert. Her service to the mental health community has awarded her a 2014 Best in Black award for Best Counseling and Consulting Service and she was a 2015 Woman of Excellence Honoree.​​

Brandy is a PROUD double graduate of Jackson State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and her Masters of Science in Guidance & Counseling. She also has received a Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from The University of Memphis. Not only is she active in her alumni association, locally and nationally, but she is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Memphis Association of Black Journalists, Tennessee Counseling Association, and Tennessee Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development.

With so much on her plate, she still finds time to enjoy life by going to concerts, enjoying sporting events, and catching up on movies and television shows.
