Michele R. DeCremer is the coordinator of the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program (IPVAP) at the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center. Ms. DeCremer received her MSW from the University of Utah and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has spent the past 20 years working with individuals, families and couples in various therapeutic settings.
Ms. DeCremer has served as a national consultant for Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy, a Master Trainer for Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior, IPVAP VISN 9 Co-Lead, IPVAP VISN 9 Community of Practice Co-Chair, a member of the National IPVAP Leadership Council and is currently the Chair-Elect of the National IPVAP Professional Standards and Clinical Practice Committee. Ms. DeCremer is also a graduate of the VA VISN 9 Leadership Institute.
Ms. DeCremer serves on the Social Work Graduate Training Committee and is a field instructor and training supervisor for psychology and social work interns and fellows. She provides training and consultation to various providers throughout the Veterans Affairs Medical Center on working with veterans and their families who use and/or experience violence.
